By KYIV. Dec 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The United States has prepared additional military assistance for Ukraine in the amount of $275 million, which includes a large amount of ammunition and high-tech systems, the Associated Press (AP) reported.
According to sources, the current package includes 80,000 howitzer shells and ammunition for HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, anti-unmanned aerial vehicles, air defense equipment, as well as HUMVEE military vehicles and other military equipment.
The official announcement of the new aid package is expected to be published on Friday, the agency says.
It draws attention to the fact that this batch of weapons is inferior in amount to the previous ones. This, as explained in the message, is due to the fact that military officials and experts predict a decrease in the level of hostilities in the winter period.
