PrivatBank joins ECA partnership program, plans to issue loans under it to exporters from Feb

KYIV. Dec 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – State-owned PrivatBank (Kyiv) has joined the partnership program of the Export Credit Agency (ECA) and plans to provide exporters with loans under ECA insurance coverage from February 2023, the bank’s press service reported on Friday.

According to the report, loans to exporters for the implementation of foreign economic agreements under this program will be issued without additional material collateral.

The bank added that since the beginning of the year it has increased the volume of financing of exporting enterprises of small and medium-sized businesses by 76%, to almost UAH 3 billion.

As reported, on December 18, 2016, the government of Ukraine, referring to the proposal of the NBU and former shareholders of PrivatBank Ihor Kolomoisky and Hennadiy Boholiubov, decided to nationalize this largest financial institution in the Ukrainian market.

According to the statistics of the National Bank of Ukraine, as of November 1, 2022, in terms of total assets, PrivatBank ranked first (UAH 706.142 billion) among 67 banks operating in the country.
