Pentagon to intensify training of Ukrainian servicemen this winter – media

KYIV. Dec 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The U.S. military will expand the military training program for Ukrainian servicemen in the winter, the Associated Press said.

According to sources, military training will take place at the Grafenwöhr training ground, located in German Bavaria. The report did not specify how many Ukrainian servicemen the U.S. plans to train over the winter.

It is noted that the program will include both theory classes and training at the training ground. The training is expected to culminate in "complex combat exercise bringing an entire battalion together."

The agency said the United States has already trained about 3,100 Ukrainian soldiers. The programs were mainly aimed at training in the use of various types of weapons, including American howitzers and HIMARS systems.
