By KYIV. Dec 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – State budget expenditures to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the form of the purchase of military equipment, weapons, ammunition, defense products, personal protective equipment in November amounted to UAH 18.4 billion (7% of all expenditures) compared to UAH 35.9 billion in October (16.1%).
According to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, citing data from the State Treasury, a total of UAH 244.5 billion, or 12.9% of all expenses, was spent on these purposes this year.
The information indicates that the cash costs for the monetary maintenance of military personnel in October amounted to UAH 88.1 billion, which is more than the October indicator of UAH 81.3 billion and the September figure of UAH 82.9 billion.
However, in the general structure of cash expenditures, the salaries of military personnel slightly decreased – to 33.7% compared to 36.4% a month earlier due to the growth of all cash expenditures of the general fund of the state budget to UAH 261.1 billion from UAH 223.5 billion in October.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, UAH 622.9 billion, or 32.9% of all expenditures of the general fund of the state budget (UAH 1.895 trillion), have been allocated to pay salaries to military personnel.
In general, the expenditures of the general fund of the state budget on wages with accruals in November amounted to UAH 112.5 billion, or 43.1% of all expenditures, and since the beginning of the war – UAH 806.5 billion, or 42.6%.
According to the Ministry of Finance, since the beginning of the war, 20.9% of all spending, or UAH 396.4 billion, was on social security (UAH 55.8 billion in November against UAH 39.2 billion in October). In particular, UAH 176.8 billion was a transfer to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, UAH 116.3 billion – payments to the Ministry of Social Policy of benefits, compensations and housing subsidies, as well as monthly targeted assistance to internally displaced persons, and UAH 30.4 billion – assistance under the eAid program.
