Denmark donates new package of financial assistance to Ukraine – Ministry of Defence

KYIV. Dec 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Danish government has provided DKK 300 million for the purchase of weapons and equipment for Ukraine, the press service of the Defence Ministry of Denmark has reported.

"Ukraine’s fight for freedom is also ours and the European fight for freedom. Therefore, the government, together with the parties in the Danish parliament, have decided to donate an additional DKK 300 million to Ukraine," Defence Minister Jakob Ellemann-Jensen said.

He said that the Danish government will continue providing support to the Ukrainians, in particular, humanitarian, financial and military.

According to the Danish Defence Ministry, the funds will be provided from the budget of the Ministry of Defence and transferred to the International Fund for Ukraine, which is led by UK.
