Market Operator presents analytics on operation of electricity spot market in Ukraine, Europe

KYIV. Dec 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JSC Market Operator presented on its website detailed analytics on the operation of the spot electricity market in Ukraine and Europe (https://www.oree.com.ua/index.php/web/10519).

"The company has introduced a new service for sellers and buyers of electricity, which allows access to data on the work of the day-ahead market (DAM) and the intraday market (IDM), prices and volumes of accepted electricity for a month, day, by hours, with the exception of information of an insider and confidential nature," the Market Operator’s website reported on Monday.

The company also offered traders a service for hourly simulation of electricity prices on the DAM of Slovakia and Romania on D+3.

"Ukraine has a common cross-section with these countries, and average prices at some hours of the day there are significantly lower than on the Ukrainian DAM," the Market Operator said.

In addition, market participants can get a detailed analysis of the results of trading on the DAM and IDM in Slovakia, Romania, the Czech Republic and Hungary.

"This information will allow us to study the trading strategies of European businesses in the context of the hourly purchase and sale of electricity and better prepare for market coupling with Europe," the company said.

The pricing policy of 32 two EU states, minimum and maximum prices in hryvnias and euros will also be available.

"For the attention of market participants, the hourly structure of electricity generation by type of generation in a convenient interactive visualization that is updated daily," the company said.
