DTEK restores power supply to 88,000 customers in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk regions in one week

KYIV. Dec 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – During the week from December 19 to December 25, specialists from the distribution system operators of DTEK Grids returned power to 88,000 families left without electricity due to shelling in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, according to a press release from the energy holding on Monday.

"Specialists of the distribution system operators of DTEK Grids have restored power grids damaged in hostilities for 88,000 families in 75 settlements of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions," the holding said.

Power was restored for 61,000 families in Donetsk and 27,000 families in Dnipropetrovsk regions.

These areas are regularly shelled and damage to power supply facilities is recorded, the company said.

"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have already resumed power supply for 6.5 million customers. Some of them have already had it dozens of times due to regular attacks by the enemy," Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO of DTEK Grids, said.

As DTEK informed, in the city of Kyiv and the region on Tuesday, December 27, emergency outages are applied. Schedules are not valid.

"DTEK power engineers, together with specialists from NPC Ukrenergo, other emergency services and government bodies, are doing everything possible to stabilize the situation as soon as possible," the holding said.
