Ukraine cuts iron ore export by 43%, revenue by 57% in Jan-Nov

KYIV. Dec 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine’s mining enterprises in January-November of this year reduced the export of iron ore raw materials in quantity terms by 42.9% compared to the same period last year, to 23.220 million tonnes.

According to statistics published by the State Customs Service, for the specified period, foreign exchange earnings from the export of iron ore decreased by 57.1%, to $2.841 billion.

During the specified period, iron ore raw materials were imported to Ukraine for $62,000 in a total volume of 96 tonnes, while in January-November 2021 – for $183,000 in a total volume of 1,202 tonnes.
