Number of transactions for purchase, sale of real estate by individuals down 78.3% since war start – SPF

KYIV. Dec 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Since the beginning of the full-scale war in February 2022, Ukrainians have sold 52,600 real estate objects, which is 78.3% less than in the same period last year, the press service of the State Property Fund (SPF) reported.

According to the Fund, the bulk of sales were residential properties. So, from February 24 to December 12, 2022, Ukrainians purchased 47,000 apartments and residential buildings, which is also 78.3% less than in the same period in 2021.

Sales of industrial real estate and garages also decreased – by 76.8%, to 4,600 objects, the SPF noted. Sales of retail real estate decreased by 80.0%, to 502 objects, and administrative real estate – by 87.4%, to 458 objects.

As noted in the message, the review of assessment reports by the State Property Fund made it possible to prevent a reduction in state budget revenues by about UAH 1.5 billion.
