Road workers install 17 temporary crossings in Kharkiv region since early autumn

KYIV. Dec 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Specialists of the State Road Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) have equipped 17 temporary crossings in Kharkiv region over the past four months, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Ministry of Development Oleksandr Kubrakov said on December 27.

"In total, 25 bridges were destroyed in the region. It is possible to cross 17 bridges. Temporary crossings have been built there and temporary bridges have been installed, four more facilities are under construction," he wrote on Facebook.

Among them are crossings in Olkhivka and Balakliya (Kharkiv region), where Ukravtodor last week began the construction of two temporary crossings.

In addition, during the war, the road workers cleared 588 km of state roads and 24 km of communal streets in the de-occupied cities from the consequences of hostilities.

"A set of works was completed on state roads: the elimination of emergency potholes and the repair of the road surface, the strengthening of roadsides, the dismantling of the structures of destroyed bridges, the renewal of markings, the repair of the metal barrier fence and vehicle pavilions," Kubrakov added.
