Ukrnafta plans to acquire its own fleet of fuel and gas carriers by 2024 – Koretsky

KYIV. Dec 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PJSC Ukrnafta plans to acquire its own fleet of fuel and gas carriers by 2024, director of the company Serhiy Koretsky said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

According to him, Ukrnafta did not have its own logistics fleet on its balance sheet, and third-party companies that previously provided relevant services refused to provide them.

In this regard, Ukrnafta offers annual term contracts on commercial terms for the transportation of fuel for the network, including for small wholesale customers, but primarily for the Ministry of Defense.

"We are working on resolving the situation, and since last week we have begun dynamically delivering fuel to gas stations. Today, most of Ukrnafta’s filling stations are provided with all types of fuel," he said.

Koretsky specified that the company will announce tenders in the ProZorro system for the purchase of the necessary vehicles, while at the same time it will take at least a year to close its own logistics needs, which it estimates at 100 fuel trucks and 40 gas trucks.

"Firstly, both European and Ukrainian companies are massively purchasing vehicles for their own needs, and we will be in the tail of a long queue. Secondly, fuel and gas trucks need to be manufactured, delivered and cleared through customs, which takes time," he explained.
