By NEW YORK. Dec 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Forty-one vessels carrying nearly 1.6 million tonnes of food products departed the Ukrainian ports from December 20 to December 29, the Joint Coordination Center (JCC) said.
"The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) reports that from December 20 to December 28 some 38 vessels left Ukrainian ports today, carrying a total of 1,552,879 metric tonnes of grain and other food products under the Black Sea Grain Initiative," the center said.
Three bulkers with 42,070 tonnes of food products on board left the Ukrainian ports on December 29, it said.
In particular, the New Victory vessel is carrying 23,500 tonnes of barley and the Panjali Teymurov 3,300 tonnes of sunflower oil and 2,970 tonnes of soybean oil to Tunisia. The Aileen bulker is heading to Morocco with 12,300 tonnes of sunflower meal aboard.
Sixty-one applications to join the Black Sea Grain Initiative have been submitted, the center said.
Furthermore, ten vessels are awaiting permission to enter the Ukrainian ports and 31 loaded vessels are waiting to sail to their destinations.
"As of December 29, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 15,959,660 tonnes. A total of 1,206 voyages (597 inbound and 609 outbound) have been enabled so far," the JCC said.
