By KYIV. Dec 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The average cost of a square meter of housing in Kyiv has increased by 5.3% since the beginning of the war – from $1,600 to $1,685, the State Property Fund (SPF) told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the report, this figure also increased in Dnipro (by 4.3%, from $690 to $720/sq m) and Lviv (by 4.1%, from $960 to $1,000/sq m). At the same time, its decline was recorded in Kharkiv (by 3.4%, $745 to $720) and Odesa (by 5.6%, from $810 to $765).
The press service of the State Property Fund recalled that the average cost per square meter of residential real estate was determined by using analytical data from open information sources used by the unified valuation reports database to form the estimated value and market value data from the valuation reports contained in the database.
As reported, since the beginning of a full-scale war in February 2022, Ukrainians have sold 52,600 properties, which is 4.6 times less than in the same period last year. According to the State Property Fund, the bulk of sales were residential properties. So, from February 24 to December 12, 2022, Ukrainians purchased 47,000 apartments and houses, which is also 4.6 times lower than in the same period in 2021.
