Prometey grain trader spends UAH 8 mln on humanitarian projects during war

KYIV. Jan 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – During the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Prometey implemented a number of socially oriented projects to support the civilian population of Mykolaiv and the region, materially support the needs of Ukrainian soldiers, as well as for the safety and welfare of its employees.

According to a press release from the holding, UAH 8 million were allocated for these purposes, for which dozens of humanitarian projects were implemented.

So, in December 2022, Prometey allocated funds to Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration for the purchase of generators for units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Prometey was created in Mykolaiv, so the company provides all possible assistance in the first place to this city and Mykolaiv region.

"We buy food, medical equipment. Our help is personally in hand, without intermediaries. For example, we ourselves transported food to the front line for our military. Today, generators are a necessity, so we quickly responded to the needs of the military," the grain trader quotes head of the supervisory board Rafael Goroyan.

Prometey provides services for the storage, processing and logistics of crops. Before the Russian aggression, the holding owned 34 elevators in Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Khmelnytsky, Zaporizhia, Sumy, Odesa, Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

In 2021, the group of companies planned to receive $45 million in EBITDA, while in 2020 this figure reached $32.6 million, and in 2019 – $30.5 million.
