Shares of all Ukrainian agricultural companies plunge by 29-69% in 2022

KYIV. Jan 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The price of shares of all 10 Ukrainian agricultural holdings, whose securities are listed on the Warsaw and London stock exchanges, decreased in 2022, the fall ranged from 28.6% for Ukrproduct to 68.8% for Kernel.

From the data of the relevant exchanges, it follows that all Ukrainian agricultural companies have suffered significantly due to the Russian military invasion and the negative consequences caused by it for the country’s economy. At the same time, their territorial location did not play a decisive role – the shares of Agroton, whose land bank was occupied by the Russians, fell in price by 45%, while those of Milkiland, which did not fall under the occupation, fell by 60%.

According to the exchange, for the period from January 1, 2022 to January 6, 2023, the following depreciation of securities of Ukrainian agricultural companies took place:

Ukrprodukt – to $3.25 (PLN 14.3) from $4.5 (PLN 19.8).

Ovostar – to PLN 44.8 from PLN 68;

KSG Agro –to PLN 2.21 from PLN 3.84;

MHP – to $3.7 (PLN 16.28) from $6.72 (PLN 29.7).

Astarta – to PLN 22.2 from PLN 40.55;

Agroton – to PLN 3.62 from PLN 6.76

IMC – to PLN 16.6 from PLN 32.

Milkiland – to PLN 0.9 from PLN 2.25;

Agroliga – to PLN 19.9 from PLN 53.

Kernel – to PLN 18.49 from PLN 58.3.

Thus, the shares of five out of 10 holdings fell in price by 41.2-47.5% over the year, which makes it possible to roughly judge the average range of decline in the industry.
