Jan 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Zaporizhia Casting and Mechanical Plant LLC, established on the basis of production workshops of the department of the chief mechanic of PJSC Zaporizhstal, which is part of the Metinvest group, in 2022 focused on providing the company’s enterprises with all the necessary parts and important equipment.
According to the enterprise’s information, plans for 2022 were destroyed by Russia’s military aggression, so it was a difficult year for the plant.
"Zaporizhia Casting and Mechanical Plant survived this most difficult year. We were able to cope with the challenges of the time, quickly respond to requests from colleagues, master new types of products and services," Acting Director General of Zaporizhia Casting and Mechanical Plant Ihor Dolhozviaho said.
According to him, in 2022 the plant mastered 1,114 new types of services and production. Among the most important are the manufacture of conical drum for mills for mining and processing plants, blast and open-hearth tuyeres, cast iron plates and tuyere coolers. An important direction of the company’s work was the provision of metal structures with a copra and reinforcement of the shaft for Pokrovske Colliery.
In addition, last year the plant continued a project to modernize machine tools, in particular, with the installation of a modern Siemens control system. This helped to reduce production losses when the machine stops.
