Kyivmiskbud restores work at ten out of 22 construction sites, commissions 101,700 sq m in 2022

KYIV. Jan 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The holding company Kyivmiskbud has restored work at ten out of 22 pre-war construction sites, over 2022, some 101,700 square meters of housing were commissioned, Tetiana Markova, director of the holding’s sales and marketing department, told Interfax-Ukraine.

Kyivmiskbud resumed work at construction sites in June, it was possible to resume construction at ten construction sites: residential complex Apricot, Mirax, Urlivsky-1, Urlivsky-2, Twin House, Podil Hrad, Kyrylivska Grove, Hvardiysky, Lake House, and Urban Park.

"The company focused its main efforts on high readiness facilities that could be completed and put into operation. Objects at the initial stages of construction have been suspended for the time being. We hope that in the spring we will be able to resume work at all our complexes, although planned power outages somewhat shake these hopes," Markova said.

During 2022, the company managed to put into operation three residential complexes: Raduzhny, Hvardiysky and the first stage of Oberih-2 (a total of more than 101,700 square meters), as well as four parking lots for 617 cars.

At the same time, Kyivmiskbud did not launch new projects in 2022. "The main thing is to complete the construction of the started complexes, and there are now 22 of them. For the future, Kyivmiskbud has developed new projects for 500,000 square meters of real estate," Markova said.

She noted that the cost of construction materials increased by almost 50% over the year. "It is simply impossible to keep prices at the pre-war level for a long time, because you need to buy materials. So prices had to be raised. On average, the growth was about 10-15%, depending on the complex," Markova said, adding that in general this is lower than the general statistics in Kyiv, where the growth was 36% (average prices increased from UAH 35,400/square meters in February 2022 to UAH 48,200 in November 2022).

In general, she assessed 2022 as "it’s good that we survived," because the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine affected all spheres of life.
