Metinvest's Inhulets Mining provides shelters, industrial sites with backup sources of electricity

KYIV. Jan 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Inhulets Mining and Processing Plant (Kryvy Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region), which is part of the Metinvest group, has provided shelters and industrial sites with backup sources of electricity by purchasing additional generators in case of a power outage.

According to the company, 16 new devices were installed in protective structures located on the territory of the plant. In total, the enterprise employs 38 generators of various capacities.

At the same time, in the conditions of war and constant enemy attacks on the country, an industrial enterprise needs serviceable, stably operating backup sources of electricity. In the event of an unpredictable power outage, generators are capable of providing electricity to working rooms, protective structures and gas stations of transport shops.

Power engineers of Inhulets Mining carried out a comprehensive check of all protective structures for the presence of generators and additionally equipped them with special shelters for technological vehicles and service workshops. A Stamford generator with a capacity of 66 kW and weighing more than 1 tonne was installed in the shelter of ore processing plant No. 1, which will allow generating electricity and ensuring air recirculation inside the protective facility.

Thanks to the powerful device, the power engineers provided stable power supply to the tower of one of the mobile operators covering the territory of the enterprise with communications. The emergency teams of the network and substation shop and the service shop in case of emergency shutdowns due to shelling and destruction were also equipped with generators.

According to the press release, at the end of last year, the company purchased about 100 heaters for the administrative and amenity complexes of all departments, 19 anti-noise cabins and three sanitary blocks to create amenities at the workplace.
