KYIV. May 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On May 5, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) applied to PrJSC Insurance Company “Universal Policy” (Kyiv-based) a measure of influence in the form of cancellation of licenses to carry out activities for the provision of financial services, in connection with repeated violation of the requirements of license conditions during the year.
As reported on the NBU website, the company does not comply with mandatory financial standards (the solvency and capital adequacy ratio and the risk ratio of operations).
Earlier it was reported that on November 11, 2022, a measure of influence was applied to the Universal Policy insurer in the form of a suspension of licenses.
The NBU said that according to the reporting for 2022, the amount of insurance premiums collected by the company amounted to UAH 72 million (of which 90% came from reinsurers), insurance payments some UAH 36 million. The company’s market share was 0.2% in 2022.
According to the reporting for the first quarter of 2023, the Universal Policy insurer did not receive insurance premiums.
The Universal Policy insurer registered in 2001, specializes in providing services in risk insurance.
