KYIV. May 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A mine in Donetsk region has been de-energized due to shelling by Russian invaders, the Ministry of Energy reported.
“The enemy continues to attack the country’s energy infrastructure in the front-line and border areas with the Russian Federation. Yesterday, a coal mine was de-energized in Donetsk region due to shelling,” the department’s Telegram channel reported.
In addition, according to the Ministry of Energy, due to damage as a result of hostilities, some consumers in Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernihiv regions also remain de-energized.
“At the same time, power engineers, despite the difficult security situation, continue to work on the resumption of energy supply. During the day, they managed to return the light for 22,500 consumers. Most of them are subscribers in Zaporizhia, Sumy and Donetsk regions,” the ministry said.
At the same time, according to information on the Telegram channel of PrJSC Ukrhydroenergo, as of May 12, flooding has significantly decreased, and the water level in reservoirs continues to decline, although low areas in a number of settlements in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Poltava , Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions remain flooded.
The company also drew attention to the fact that today the discharge from the Dniester reservoir through hydroelectric units for ecological-reproductive release on the Dniester River is being completed.
