After competition, Cabinet appoints 5 new independent members of PrivatBank Supervisory Board, only Nadir Shaikh retains place

KYIV. Dec 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Following the competition, the Cabinet of Ministers has appointed five new independent members of the Supervisory Board of state-owned PrivatBank (Kyiv).

As the press service of the Ministry of Finance reported on Tuesday, the new independent members of the Supervisory Board were former head of Estonian Luminor Bank Nils Melngailis, former head of PKO Bank Poland Zbigniew Jagiełło, former deputy board chairman of Oschadbank Volodymyr Lytvyn, board chairman of UniCredit Bank Federico Russo and Deutsche Bank investment banker Mihai Ionescu.

At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers terminated the respective powers of Sharon Easky, Eran Klein, Roman Sulzhyk, Olha Tomash and Sebastian Schoenaich-Carolath.

Of the former independent members of the Supervisory Board, only Nadir Shaikh retained his seat.
