KYIV. Oct 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) granted permission to Orbico d.o.o. (Croatia) for the acquisition of joint control with PJrSC ASNOVA Holding over PrJSC CAB 92 (both based in Kyiv).
According to the committee’s decision dated October 12, Orbico will become the owner of 24.9% of the shares of CAB 92 under a purchase and sale agreement with ASNOVA Holding, which controls the concentration object, and will receive blocking rights under a shareholder agreement.
Orbico and ASNOVA Holding also received permission from the AMCU for concerted actions in the form of fulfilling non-competition (exclusivity) obligations for a period of five years.
According to the department, the Orbico group operates in the field of distribution and retail, and is represented in Ukraine through a resident company.
According to information on the Orbico Group website, the group provides distribution, logistics, and retail services for brands of various categories: tobacco products, household goods, personal care products, food, electronics, etc. The group’s central office is located in Zagreb.
Orbico is present in 20 countries. The group entered the Ukrainian market in 2016 with its subsidiary Orbico Ukraine LLC. The company distributes Procter&Gamble products, including hair care brands Wella, Londa Professional, OPI and ghd.
In February 2023, Orbico owner Branko Roglic announced his intention to invest up to EUR50 million in Ukraine after the end of the war.
