KYIV. Nov 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) continues to detect elite real estate of Russian deputies abroad and has discovered several more objects with a total value of more than UAH 180 million, the Agency’s press service reported on Thursday.
"Through international cooperation, ARMA specialists discovered the assets of a proxy of a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation in England, namely, two land plots acquired in the Barnet area (London) in 2022. The plots are located in the picturesque Trent Park … The cost of one plot is GBP 1.6 million pounds. In addition, the presence of elite real estate in the son of one of the deputies of the State Duma of Russia in Paris was revealed. The apartment was purchased for EUR 965,000 and is located in the center of the French capital," the report says.
Also, thanks to international cooperation, ARMA employees also discovered the assets of the wife of another member of the Russian parliament in Kolašin (Montenegro) worth EUR 260,000.
The Agency recalled that ARMA recently found a number of assets related to Russian deputies and their family members, including a 25-meter Dutch yacht, an elite 18th-century castle-residence near the French Versailles and VIP real estate in London.
"ARMA is working on the cases of hundreds of defendants, interacting with the competent authorities of about 100 foreign jurisdictions. Despite the fact that the property is wanted abroad, the National Agency, together with law enforcement agencies and foreign partners, is working on mechanisms to transfer these assets in favor of Ukraine," the press service said.
