Around 600 trucks queued on border with Slovakia, up to 1,000 – at border with Hungary – Border Guard Service

KYIV. Dec 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – As of the morning of December 1, there were around 600 trucks queued towards the Uzhgorod-Vyšné Nemecké checkpoint on the border with Slovakia and up to 1,000 trucks towards the Tysa checkpoint on the border with Hungary, Spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko.

“As of this morning, for example, there are around 600 trucks queued towards the Uzhgorod-Vyšné Nemecké checkpoint (the border with Slovakia). And there are up to 1,000 trucks queued towards the Tysa checkpoint on the border with Hungary. And we have information from our Slovak colleagues that today, at 15:00 according to European time, the blockade of movement of trucks will start exactly at the Uzhgorod-Vyšné Nemecké checkpoint,” he said on the national telethon on Friday.

The blockade will be held by representatives of the Slovak Union of Carriers.
