Assessment of damage caused to Ukraine to be updated in Jan 2023 – acting minister

KYIV. Nov 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The next update of the assessment of the damage caused to Ukraine from the full-scale Russian invasion is planned to be made as of January 1, 2023, the acting Minister for the Development of Communities and Territories, Vasyl Lozynsky, has said.

"Our specialists from the ministry and our partners from the EU and the World Bank have made an assessment of the damage caused. These data are only as of June 1. We plan to update the next assessment as of January 1 according to a generally recognized methodology supported by all donors and trusted by all world partners," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.

He recalled that the previous estimate of damage as of June 1 is $349 billion.
