Average capacity deficit of Ukraine's energy system is 2.5 GW, can be covered by 40% by switching to LED lamps – Zelensky

KYIV. Dec 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The practical result of the international conference on Solidarity with the Ukrainian people of Ukraine in Paris on Tuesday could be an agreement to finance a project to purchase LED lamps for Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.

"It may not seem so significant to someone, but 50 million LED lamps will save about 1 GW of electricity," the Ukrainian head of state said at an international conference on Solidarity with the Ukrainian people in Paris on Tuesday.

"Given that the average deficit of our energy system is about 2.5 GW, this project could also help significantly," he said.
