BAKU. Nov 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Azerbaijan will reach a peak in extracting marketable gas in 2025 by producing 36 billion cubic meters of gas, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said.
“As concerns marketable gas, its extraction will reach a peak of 36 billion cubic meters in 2025,” Jabbarov said at a meeting of the parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, and Entrepreneurship while discussing the draft state budget for 2024 on Thursday.
Azerbaijan produced 34.958 billion cubic meters of marketable gas in 2022 and 26.869 billion cubic meters in January-September 2023.
Oil production at Azerbaijan’s principal Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli deposit will see some decline in the medium term, he said.
