BAKU. May 12 (Interfax) – Azerbaijan raised gas production 14.4% year-on-year in January-April to 15.7 billion cubic meters, the Energy Ministry told Interfax.
It said State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) produced 2.6 bcm, another 4.6 bcm of associated gas came from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli or ACG block and 8.5 bcm of natural gas from the Shah Deniz field.
Gas exports grew 17.4% to 7.6 bcm, including 2.9 bcm to Turkey, 3.5 bcm to Europe and 1.2 bcm to Georgia.
Turkey received 2 bcm via the TANAP pipeline.
The ACG block produce 195 bcm of gas since going on stream in November 1997 and Shah Deniz more than 166 bcm since it went into production in December 2006. More than 114 bcm of Shah Deniz gas has been exported.
