Banks increase issue of 5-7-9% loans by 21% in Dec – Finance Ministry

KYIV. Jan 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Banks in the last month of 2022 issued 4,420 preferential loans under the state program Affordable Loans 5-7-9% in the amount of UAH 10.27 billion, which is 21% or UAH 2.2 billion more than in November 2022, the Ministry of Finance announced on its website.

According to its data, in November, 1,660 such loans were issued for UAH 8.1 billion.

The Ministry of Finance clarified that since the start of the 5-7-9% program, business entities have received 52,850 loans from authorized banks for a total of UAH 165.77 billion, of which almost 34,000 from banks in the public sector of the economy for a total of UAH 66.26 billion.

It is noted that during the period of martial law in Ukraine, within the framework of this state program, 18,030 loan agreements were concluded for UAH 76.15 billion.

According to published data, most loans were allocated for anti-war purposes – UAH 38.35 billion, entrepreneurs received UAH 820 million of credit funds for investment purposes, UAH 6.34 billion were allocated as anti-crisis loans, UAH 4.38 billion – as refinancing for already received loans, UAH 25.74 billion – loans for agricultural producers.

Currently, 45 banks are working with the program Affordable Loans 5-7-9%.
