Biden signs U.S. budget bill providing for aid to Ukraine

KYIV. Dec 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – U.S. President Joe Biden signed H.R. 2617, which provides for the provision of "emergency assistance for the situation in Ukraine."

"The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, making consolidated appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023, and for providing emergency assistance for the situation in Ukraine, and for other purposes," according to the document published on the White House website.

Earlier it was reported that the House of Representatives of the U.S. Congress, following the Senate, approved the draft budget for fiscal year 2023 in the amount of $1.7 trillion, $45 billion from the budget would be allocated to help Ukraine and NATO countries.
