KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Due to the incompetent actions of the Russian occupiers and Rosatom employees, on November 14, a partial blackout occurred at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant in the form of de-energization at power unit No. 6.
“There was a blackout at the sixth power unit of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, as a result of which diesel generators and security systems were started, which worked for 90 minutes,” the state enterprise Energoatom reported on its Telegram channel on Thursday.
As the company informed, these data are confirmed by IAEA inspectors located at the site of the temporarily occupied nuclear power plant.
“Due to the complete lack of professionalism of the Russian occupiers at the Zaporizhia NPP, the main equipment is constantly being degraded and the risk of its failures is increasing. At the same time, the presence of Russians at the largest nuclear facility in Europe threatens nuclear and radiation safety,” the company noted.
As the company added, since the beginning of the occupation of the Zaporizhia NPP, seven complete blackouts have occurred at the plant.
“Such events threatened the entire continent, because the occupiers are not responsible for the nuclear and radiation safety of the plant,” Energoatom emphasized.
