KYIV. Nov 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Not a single piece of equipment provided by the United States to Ukraine, nor humanitarian aid, nor budgetary support or other types of assistance, was misdirected, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink said in an interview with Fox News.
“I can say that not one piece of equipment has been diverted, not one piece of humanitarian aid or any other direct budget support or other types of assistance,” she said.
Brink noted that monitoring her country’s aid is one of her priorities as ambassador.
“I take this very seriously and very solemnly. And we have a third of our staff on the ground focused on oversight,” the ambassador noted.
Together with the U.S. Embassy, there is a working group of inspectors general from three different departments: the Department of Defense, the Department of State and USAID, the so-called Mighty Three.
“We need to keep watching it like a hawk. And we need to keep working closely, but the Ukrainians have been incredibly open, with all of the… assistance so that we can have eyes on what is happening,” Brink concluded.
