By LVIV. Dec 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The budget of Lviv region for 2023 was approved at the level of UAH 6.8 billion, head of Lviv regional military administration Maksym Kozytsky said on Telegram.
"I signed a decree approving the regional budget for 2023… The volume of the budget of Lviv region in the new year will be UAH 6.8 billion," he said.
In particular, it is planned to allocate UAH 2.1 billion for education, which is 6% more than in the 2022 budget. Some UAH 1 billion is also foreseen for financing the healthcare sector.
Some UAH 800 million is projected for social protection institutions, while funding for cultural and art institutions is provided at the level of UAH 500 million.
Another UAH 250 million in the budget is provided for the implementation of infrastructure projects, support for business and military formations. Also, UAH 240 million will be allocated for the program for the development and maintenance of the region’s roads.
