KYIV. Oct 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allocated UAH 1.2 billion for the budget of Luhansk region and the budgets of 119 territorial communities that have experienced the greatest impact from Russian aggression, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
“We are adopting another document aimed at supporting the regions. This year we have provided more than UAH 23 billion for communities that have experienced the greatest impact from Russian aggression. These are funds for exercising the powers of local governments,” Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Friday.
According to him, since the beginning of the year, the government has already paid UAH 14.7 billion to the regions under this program.
“Today we are allocating another UAH 1.2 billion for the budget of Luhansk region and the budgets of 119 territorial communities,” he concluded.
