KYIV. Sept 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers has extended until October 31, 2023 the deadline for submitting applications for compensation for crops lost as a result of the Russian Federation blowing up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam for households in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.
As Taras Melnychuk, a representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, reported on Telegram, the decision to make appropriate changes to the procedure for providing one-time cash assistance was made at a government meeting on Tuesday.
According to the report, local commissions are allowed to review submitted applications within 20 working days, carry out an inspection of land plots where vegetable crops have been lost, and draw up a corresponding act.
The Kherson and Mykolaiv regional military administrations have been instructed to make decisions on the allocation of assistance until November 30, 2023.
