Canada extends list of anti-Russian sanctions to several media outlets

KYIV. Nov 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Canada has imposed new anti-Russian sanctions on nine individuals and six companies, the Canadian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.

Among the newly sanctioned entities are the Izvestia and Parlamentskaya Gazeta newspapers and the REN TV channel.

The affected individuals and companies are “part of an organized network whose intent is to spread false narratives and propaganda as if it were expert opinion,” the ministry said.

Canada together with its partners continues to “address Russian disinformation,” Foreign Minister Melanie Joly said.
