KYIV. Oct 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The volume of cash receipts at the cash desks of banks in January-September 2022 amounted to UAH 1.572 trillion, which is 14% less than in the same period in 2021, and the volume of their issuance decreased by 13%, to UAH 1.616 trillion, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said on Friday.
According to the report, most banks issued cash using payment cards (82.4%), as well as to support postal operators (5.3%) and purchase foreign currency from customers (4.1%).
In addition, 2.3% of the total amount was spent on the issuance of funds from the deposits of individuals, 2.2% on wages and scholarships.
The main sources of income were customer transactions using payment cards (36.5%) and trading revenue (31.9%).
Cash desks were also replenished by replenishing accounts on deposits of individuals (3.5%) and selling foreign currency (5.1%).
