KYIV. Nov 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PrJSC Centravis Production Ukraine, part of Centravis Ltd. holding, notes slight delays in the delivery of products to European consumers due to the blockade of three checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border.
“I would like to inform you about current developments in logistics, which may slightly affect the transit of goods across the Poland-Ukraine border. Protests by Polish truckers led to disruptions on the roads through the border points of Yahodyn and Hrebenne – Rava Ruska. Although the protests slowed down traffic, they did not led to a complete stop of traffic,” wrote the company’s sales director, Artem Atanasov, in a letter to clients last Friday.
According to him, anticipating these events, the Centravis logistics team redirected cargo to alternative routes, in particular through the Krakovets and Shehyni border crossings, in order to reduce delays. As a result, delays in product delivery were minimal – two to seven days. This could potentially affect two of the company’s customers.
“Given these developments, we have adjusted our delivery schedules to include an additional ten-day buffer in order to confidently manage the delivery situation realistically. Our transport partners have assured us that they expect a decision on the protests within the next month,” stated the director of sales.
Regarding the current situation with production, Atanasov noted that production continues uninterruptedly, while all resources, including blanks, energy and water, are easily available for the technological process.
“Our team remains focused and committed to maintaining the high standards of service that customers expect from us,” the top manager concluded.
Centravis was founded in 2000 and is one of the ten largest manufacturers of seamless stainless steel pipes in the world. Its main production facilities are located in Nikopol (Dnipropetrovsk region). The company employs more than 1,400 people.
The company cooperates with such companies as BMW, Volkswagen, General Motors, BentelerAutomotive, LINSTER Edelstahlhandel, Rohr Mertel, Buhlmann Group, Webco, and MRC. The geography of supplies exceeds 50 countries.
