Chairman of the Board of Cherkasyoblenergo Oleh Samchuk, whose words are given in the release, said that in preparation for the winter period, a survey of all grids involved in the power supply of critical infrastructure facilities was carried out.
“And here we took into account the experience of last year, both in terms of consumption restrictions and the consequences of missile attacks. In this area, 93 cable lines were repaired, including backup ones,” the head noted.
According to him, each individual structural unit of the company, each branch conducted personnel training, coordinated with the relevant departments and developed an action plan in case of emergencies, power shortages, as well as limitation schedules, hourly outage schedules and emergency power outage schedules.
“Also, for mobile and quick response to all emergency situations, the company is updating its vehicle fleet, and the emergency stock of materials has been increased by 20% of the standard,” Samchuk added.
In addition, independent power supply sources have been installed at critical infrastructure enterprises, which are included in power distribution schemes in order to have up-to-date information and respond to calls in a timely manner.
As noted in the press service, the clearing of more than 2,700 km of overhead power routes by the company’s specialists should also reduce the likelihood of emergency situations as a result of bad weather.
