KYIV. Nov 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Primary registrations of used passenger cars imported into Ukraine from abroad in October 2023 grew by 41% compared to October 2022, to 21,300 vehicles, which is 1% more than in September of this year, the Ukrautoprom association reported on its Telegram channel on Monday.
According to the association, the largest share in the segment of imported used foreign cars in October consistently belonged to gasoline cars – 44% (in September as well), followed by diesel cars – 31% (no changes), electric cars – 17% (16%), autogas-powered cars – 5% (no changes) and hybrids – 3% (4%).
The leader in registrations remains the Volkswagen Golf (1,544 vehicles), and the top five again remained the same: Renault Megane (1,200 vehicles), Skoda Octavia (960 vehicles), Volkswagen Passat (785 vehicles) and Nissan Leaf – 573 vehicles.
The top 10 of this market in October also included Volkswagen Tiguan – 451 vehicles, Tesla Model 3 – 442 vehicles, AUDI A4 – 416 vehicles, Ford Focus – 411 vehicles and Nissan Qashqai – 404 vehicles.
The average age of used cars that switched to Ukrainian license plates in October is nine and a half years.
In general, in January-October of this year, 169,300 used cars imported from abroad were first registered in Ukraine, which is 3.4 times more than the sales of new cars over the same period.
