KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Initial registrations of new buses (including minibuses) in Ukraine in October increased by 32%, or by 33 units from October last year – up to 136 units, according to statistics from the Ukrautoprom association.
However, compared to September of this year, this figure has not changed.
According to statistics, the leader in October, as well as a month earlier, were Ataman buses produced by Cherkasy Bus, registrations of which increased to 49 units compared to 11 a year earlier, however, compared to September of this year, demand for them decreased by 12.5% (by seven units).
In the second place is the Ukrainian Etalon – 36 buses, which is four units less than in October 2022, but two more than the month before last.
Ukrainian ZAZ holds third place in the ranking with 18 buses registered against five a year earlier and 17 in September 2023.
This is followed by Ford (11 versus 16 in September), Peugeot with nine vehicles versus one in October 2022, and in September of this year such buses were not registered.
Also registered are four Turkish Otokar buses (there were no registrations last month or a year earlier), three Fiats, two Volkswagen and two Renault buses. At the same time, the demand for Citroen buses, which led the August registrations of this year, was not observed in October.
Thus, in January-October 2023, the total initial registrations of new buses of all classes in Ukraine amounted to 1,366 units – almost 2.2 times more than for the same period in 2022.
