KYIV. Nov 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A large Ukrainian car-building enterprise, JSC Dniprovagonmash (Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region), controlled by the financial and industrial group TAS of businessman Sergiy Tigipko, completed January-September 2023 with a net profit of UAH 51.09 million, which is 8.3 times more than for the same period in 2022.
According to the company’s interim reporting published on Wednesday in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, its net sales income decreased by 14.7%, to UAH 724.62 million.
In January-September, the company increased gross profit by 18.7%, to UAH 96.9 million, receiving UAH 53.5 million in operating profit (4.6 times more).
The report does not provide the number of cars produced and sold during the reporting period.
Among the price risks for the enterprise, the report still notes the risk of increased prices for components, materials and energy (material costs account for 80-90%), and decreased prices for railcars.
“The ongoing military actions, the uncertainty of further developments of events, including the intensity or potential timing of the cessation of these actions, can significantly affect the economic situation in the country and, accordingly, the activities of JSC Dniprovagonmash,” the report notes.
