KYIV. Oct 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – By the end of the year, DTEK Energy will increase investments in the repair campaign of power units of thermal power plants to UAH 3.9 billion, which is almost double the figure for 2022, when they amounted to UAH 2.2 billion, said General Director Ildar Saleev.
“We are increasing investments in the repair campaign to UAH 3.9 billion. This is almost twice as much as last year,” he wrote on his Facebook page on Friday.
At the same time, Saleev confirmed that by the end of the year the company is carrying out scheduled repairs at 27 power units, and today it has completed repairs of the last of 19 power units that it was supposed to repair before the start of the operational phase.
According to him, this will add up to 140 MW of power to the Ukrainian energy system.
As reported, at the beginning of July, DTEK Energy CEO Ildar Saleev in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine noted that the company this year would increase investments in thermal power plant repairs by 1.6 times compared to 2022 – up to UAH 3.5 billion. Then he noted that the increase in the volume of funds for repairs was due to significant wear and tear of equipment because of overtime work in the 2022/2023 operational period, inflation, and the need to reactivate units to increase available capacity.
