DTEK Oil & Gas increases productivity of gas well in Poltava region by 65%

KYIV. Nov 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – DTEK Oil & Gas, as a result of work to intensify production, increased the productivity of a gas well at a field in Poltava region by 65%, according to the company’s Facebook page.

The massive re-stimulation project for the carbonate reservoir was carried out by the company’s specialists together with international partners.

“The geological and technical difficulties of the project were aggravated by wartime realities: a shortage of high-tech services and the departure of most foreign service providers from the market. As a result of the work, it was possible to increase the productivity of the well by 65%, which confirms the effectiveness of the model created by the engineers,” the message notes.

“Given the current situation in Ukraine, it is critically important to attract the latest technologies to increase gas production and strengthen the energy security of the state. To solve these problems in the context of limited access to international technologies, it is necessary to look for non-standard solutions, namely to build synergy and strong connections between local and international service companies,” Maksym Dorokhov, head of technological and digital development at DTEK Oil & Gas, said.
