KYIV. Oct 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – DTEK has begun preparations for the construction of a new wind park in Poltava region on the territory of the Hlobyne community
“Preparatory work is currently ongoing,” the energy holding reported on Telegram.
As the company noted, DTEK is purposefully and consciously moving into this region, since it is energy-scarce and a powerful power plant is very necessary here.
“Electricity from Poltava wind power plant will give impetus to more rapid development of the region,” the energy holding emphasized.
As reported with reference to DTEK CEO Maksym Timchenko, the company hopes to attract foreign financing to complete the construction of the second stage of Tylihulska wind farm (Mykolaiv region) with a capacity of 384 MW and an estimated cost of $400 million by the end of 2023.
DTEK Renewables in the first half of 2023 reduced gross revenue by 5.2% compared to the same period in 2022 – to UAH 1.787 billion, which occurred in the absence of generation at temporarily occupied wind power plants and the crisis of non-payments for green energy.
