By KYIV. Dec 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A single "consumer document" created for the duration of martial law will remain valid in the Diia application in any case when mobile communications are disconnected, the Ministry of Digital Transformation has said.
"As for the availability of Diia, in the event of a power outage, in any case, everything is available regardless of anything. If there is at least some kind of mobile connection, everything will work," Mstyslav Banik, Head of Electronic Services Development at the Ministry of Digital Transformation, said at the Yedyni Novyny (United News) marathon on Wednesday.
According to him, the application Diia can work even with minimal mobile coverage. At the same time, in the absence of mobile communication, documents do not disappear immediately, but gradually – as they are updated, since each document has its own expiration date.
"In any case, Ukrainians will also have access to the e-Document, which we launched in case of disabled registries and lack of access to data," Banik said.
He also stressed that all the documents in the Diia have full legal force.
"If any institution refuses to accept these documents, one can safely call the police," Banik said.
As reported, in March 2022, the Ministry of Digital Transformation implemented a temporary digital document for the period of martial law in the appendix Diia – e-Document.
