Energoatom connects ninth reactor of its NPPs to grid after short repair

KYIV. Dec 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – At 7:00 am on Thursday, National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom connected the ninth reactor of its nuclear power plants (NPPs) to the country’s power system, which was put into repair on December 18 to eliminate the remarks.

As reported in Energoatom, the increase in capacity continues. The ninth reactor is currently operating at a capacity of 400 MW.

After Ukrenergo removes the restriction on power output in this reactor, it will be loaded to a nominal capacity of 1000 MW and Ukraine will receive the full capacity of all nuclear reactors located in the controlled area.

"Thus, all nuclear reactors in the territory controlled by Ukraine are working," Energoatom said.
