Etalon insurer raises net premiums by 15.5%, payments by 14.8% in Jan-Sept

KYIV. Nov 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The insurance company Etalon (Kyiv) collected UAH 231.8 million in net premiums in January-September 2023, which is 15.5% more than in the same period in 2022.

According to the company’s report in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine, its gross premiums for this period increased by 35.9%, to UAH 258.8 million. Some UAH 5.993 million was transferred to reinsurance, which is 33.8% less than in the same period a year earlier.

For nine months, the company paid out UAH 90.003 million, which is 14.8% more than in the same period a year earlier.

Administrative expenses amounted to UAH 28.167 million, sales expenses – UAH 72.7 million.

The pretax financial result amounted to UAH 11.592 million, exceeding the figure for nine months of 2022 by 2.2 times, net profit amounted to UAH 3.071 million.

As reported, SP Investments LLC (the USA) acquired 77 million shares, or 100% of the charter capital, of PrJSC Etalon Insurance Company on April 22, 2019. Prior to this, neither SP Investments LLC nor its affiliates owned shares in the company.

Etalon was founded in 1993. It has 24 licenses for nine compulsory and 15 voluntary types of insurance. It offers more than 50 insurance products for individuals and legal entities. It has an extensive regional network of representative offices throughout Ukraine.
