Gazprom cuts gas output 18.6% to 344 bcm in 10M 2022

KYIV. Nov 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Gazprom produced 344 billion cubic meters of gas in January-October 2022, a drop of 18.6% year-on-year, or by 78.8 bcm, according to the company’s preliminary data.

Demand for the company’s gas from the gas transmission system on the domestic market decreased 5.6%, or by 11.1 bcm, for the period.

Exports to non-FSU countries totaled 91.2 bcm in 10M 2022, a fall of 42.6% year-on-year, or by 67.6 bcm.

"Gazprom is supplying gas in accordance with the confirmed orders," as noted in the summary.

Gazprom also notes that gas exports to China via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline are rising as per the bilateral long-term contract between Gazprom and the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). Deliveries regularly exceed the daily contract quantities, according to the summary.
