Govt allocates another UAH 153 mln for grants for processing, agricultural products

KYIV. Nov 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – At a meeting on November 25, the government allocated UAH 152.7 million to finance the creation or development of processing enterprises and agricultural producers under the eWork program, the Ministry of Economy reported.

"Thanks to the funds allocated today, entrepreneurs should create more than 1,000 jobs," the release cites the words of First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, Minister of Economy.

The ministry clarified that of this amount, UAH 119 million is provided for the creation or development of processing enterprises, which will be received by 22 enterprises and thanks to which it is planned to create 405 jobs.

The Ministry of Economy clarified that 11 grants will be provided for production of food products, four for the repair and installation of machinery and equipment, two each for production of furniture and chemical products, one each for production of rubber and plastic products, wood processing and manufacturing of products, as well as textile production.

According to the release, remaining UAH 33.7 million will be received by six companies in the form of grants for the creation or development of horticulture, viticulture and berry cultivation. In particular, it is planned to grow apple, hazelnuts, walnuts, blueberries and bilberries, which should create 635 jobs (28 permanent and 607 seasonal).
